Student Permission to Carry Medication

Medication can be carried by students depending on their individual circumstances. Below is a guideline for what medication can generally be carried by a student depending their level. For situations that fall outside of these guidelines, please contact the School Nurse assigned to your student's school or the District Head Nurse, Katie Kintzle at (402)715-6322.

Elementary:  
  • Inhaler with physician's orders
  • Epi-Pen with physician's order
Middle School:
  • Inhaler with physician's orders
  • Epi-Pen with physician's order
  • Cough drops with parent note turned into school's health room
High School:
  • Inhaler with physician's orders
  • Epi-Pen with physician's order
  • Non-prescription/OTC medication, including cough drops (no parent note needed)
    • Students may transport prescription medication to the school's health room.
